SportsNight

SportsNight was Aaron Sorkin's first foray into television, and it's such a shame that it never had a second season.

Sorkin introduced audiences to his witty, vibrant writing that breathed fresh air into stale television. A brilliant idea to take a sports show, and many thin of SportsCenter, and delve into the lives and the behind-the-scense aspects that viewers rarely see. Dan Rydell and his writer's block for a day. Will's insane and hysterical vault of random, useless knowledge. Dana, a woman running a sports show with an understanding of sports, but also what makes good news.

An absolutely fabulous show that balanced the serious with the humorous and witty, something which is lacking in today's television market.
